There is no NFPA rating for small tools and equipment. While using any of our wedges and/or hinge hangers we highly recommend you follow any NFPA standards, guidelines, and any other professional training you have received over the course of your emergency service career. Our aluminum wedges and hinge hangers are not insulated and will not protect from electric shock.

Our tools are made to take a beating. However, the hammering effect over time will cause stress cracks in aluminum. These stress crack may cause wedges to shatter on impact, sending sharp fragments flying. Remember to protect your eyes from sharp fragments by wearing eye protection.

It is highly recommanded that you Inspect and if needed make the proper repairs on your tools after each use.
